Rankings are an input. Matters are the output.
Enter what your firm actually takes and what a matter is typically worth to you. The arithmetic is shown in full, every figure is editable, and the result is an illustrative projection rather than a forecast. Nothing is submitted and nothing is required to use it.
What better visibility is worth
Select the matters your firm takes, adjust the three figures, and read the arithmetic. The blended matter value is shown so you can see exactly how the total was reached.

Step 3 · The result
- Blended matter value
- $28,000
- Matters per month
- 12
- × search sourced 60%
- 7.2/mo
- × visibility lift 20%
- 1.4/mo
- Additional matters per year
- 17.3
- × blended value

Step 4 · Against the cost
The Platinum program is $325 a month, or $3,900 a year. That is $226 per additional matter signed.
These are illustrative projections based on figures you entered. They are not a forecast, a guarantee, or a representation of results.
Legal is the most competitive search market there is. The specific terms your firm can realistically win move in three to six months. The broad ones take longer, and any agency promising them quickly is telling you what you want to hear.
How the arithmetic works
The model is four steps and none of them is hidden. Your selected practice areas produce a blended matter value, which is the mean of the values you left in place or changed.
Your current monthly matters are multiplied by the share that begin with an online search, which gives the number of search-sourced matters you take now. That figure is multiplied by the visibility lift to give the additional matters a month, then by twelve for the year, then by the blended value.
That is the whole calculation. It is deliberately simple, because a model with more variables would look more authoritative and be no more accurate. Every input is a number you are better placed to supply than we are.
What the model cannot capture is the timeline, which is why the note about it sits beside the result rather than underneath. Specific terms move in three to six months. Broad ones take longer, and nobody can put a date on them.
Matter values are typical ranges used as calculator inputs, not figures your firm should charge and not a projection. Fee structures differ: contingency in personal injury, mass tort and workers compensation, hourly or flat in most others.

Questions
Where do the default matter values come from?
They are typical ranges for each practice area, used as calculator inputs. They are not figures your firm should charge, not an average of our clients, and not a projection. Every one of them is editable, and firms with their own numbers should use those instead.
Why is the default visibility lift only twenty percent?
Because it is deliberately conservative. A larger number would produce a more impressive total and a less useful one. If you know your own conversion behavior, change it. If you do not, twenty percent is a figure you can defend to a partner who asks where it came from.
Is this a forecast of what we would get?
No. It is arithmetic performed on figures you entered, shown openly so you can check every step. It is not a forecast, a guarantee, or a representation of results, and we do not guarantee rankings, case volumes or fee revenue.
Why does it sometimes recommend a smaller plan?
Because at lower volumes a larger plan is not the right answer, and telling you so is worth more than the difference in fee. Below a modeled annual figure of $75,000 the tool recommends Golden and says we will tell you when a larger plan is worth it.
Can I share the result with a partner?
Yes. Every input is stored in the URL, so copying the address from the bar reproduces exactly what you are looking at, including any matter values you changed. There is also an option to email the breakdown to yourself.
